Amaravati: State government's new mining policy has stood as a role model for the whole country, said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Giving directions on the sand policy to the collectors on Wednesday from his residence at Tadepalli, Chief Minister said the government was implementing the policy by not giving any scope for corruption. He said that the Government was following the guidelines of environmental protection. Illegal mining was also curtailed with an iron hand.
However, he said the government should not get a bad name by anybody in the government.
He said any lapse in the implementation of the sand policy would not be tolerated. He directed the collectors to be ready with an action taken report on curbing illegal mining for the next Spandana programme.
