Tirupati: Municipal Commissioner P S Girisha advises leaders of various political parties to check voters' list displayed at Ward Secretariats.
Commissioner held a meeting with Returning Officers and the leaders of various political parties in connection with conduct of elections to municipal bodies, here on Friday. In the meeting, commissioner advised the political party leaders to check the voters list and suggest corrections if any.
``Before the issue of notification for civic body polls, corrections can be carried out to the voters' lists if parties make any complaints. After issuing the election notification, there will be no scope to rectify the errors in voters list,'' he said.
He said presently polling booths were arranged each for 1000 voters in all the 50 wards in Tirupati city.
He stated that soon municipal election notification will be released by the AP state election commission.
