Tirupati: Ruling YSRCP confirmed Mayor candidature to BC woman candidate. Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has confirmed this and informed the same to the BC community leaders and other aspirants who are expecting Mayor post from unreserved category. BC community leaders met the MLA here on Wednesday at his office and discussed on Mayor candidate selection.

During the meeting, the MLA officially informed that the party high command has decided to allot the Mayor post to BC woman candidate.

According to YSRCP sources, wife of leading paediatrician Dr Munisekhar Yadav, has been reportedly selected as mayor candidate from the ruling party.

At the same time MLA Karunakar Reddy has given assurance to a few dissidents who aspired for the Mayor post that the party will do justice to them in future. He asked the BC leaders to go to the field and work hard for the success of the party candidates in the elections to Tirupati Municipal Corporation.

But the Opposition TDP is yet to decide on its Mayor candidate. The party is searching for a suitable candidate for the prestigious post. Leaders representing three groups of the TDP are vying for the post.
