VE officials seize gutka, machines worth `25-lakh
Officials of Vigilance and Enforcement department raided a gutka manufacturing unit at Suryadevara Estates on Etukur Road in Guntur on Tuesday and seized four machines used for manufacturing gutka besides raw material.
Guntur: Officials of Vigilance and Enforcement department raided a gutka manufacturing unit at Suryadevara Estates on Etukur Road in Guntur on Tuesday and seized four machines used for manufacturing gutka besides raw material. The value of material and machines they seized is estimated at Rs 25-lakh.
According to Regional Vigilance and Enforcement officer T Sobha Manjari, who conducted the raids, said based on the information, the V.E. and police teams raided the gutka manufacturing unit and seized Khaleja Gutka packed in 10 bags, MC Gutka 12 bags, Blue Bull Tobacco 58 bags, Super Star Gutka half bag, four packing machines, two powder mixing machines, big size oven machine and raw material in huge quantity.
They booked case under the Section 188, 272,273,&420,of IPC and 56,57,&63. Inspector of Police N Satynarayana, Agri officer K Venkata Rao, and Sub-Inspector N Srinivasa Rao were among those participated in the raids.
