Kurnool: Gruha Vignan scientist at Yaganti Palli Krishi Vignan Kendra in Kurnool district Lakshmi Priya was felicitated with Rythu Nestam-2020 award. The award was given by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu through Muppavarapu Foundation in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The Rythu Nestam awardee, Lakshmi Priya speaking to The Hans India said that receiving the award from the hands of Vice-President has given her immense pleasure but also increased more responsibilities.
Lakshmi Priya said that she will contribute her selfless services to the job assigned. Lakshmi Priya was selected to the award for her outstanding contribution to encourage the small and marginal farmers, empowering and developing the female groups, preserving millets and making products out of them.
