He was received by Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao, District Collector V Vinay Chand, Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana, former MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju, among others at the airport.
The Vice President is on a week-long trip to Visakhapatnam. He will be returning to New Delhi on December 13.
He is visiting the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology and will interact with the scientists.
A virtual global summit is scheduled on Tuesday, wherein the Vice President will deliver a speech as a chief guest.
