Vijayawada: The denizens of the city who wish taste the delicious biryani favoured by Krishna Deva Rayalu could garner that opportunity by visiting the Rayalaseema Ruchulu food festival organised at the only 5-Star hotel in the city starting from Saturday.

The Taj Gateway Hotel is organizing the Rayalaseema Ruchulu festival Saturday onwards. The celebrity master chef Brahmaji, who has three consecutive best chef awards from the AP Tourism department for the years of 2017,18 and 19 is the mastermind behind the food festival. Executive chef Sreedhar churned out gourmet's delights for the festival.

Food and Beverages Manager SV Ramana Murthy said that the delicacies of Rayalaseema use a lot of chilli and chicken and mutton are used in abundance. These delicacies go well with Jonna Rotte or Sankati.

The four districts of Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapuram and Kurnool were part of the Vijajanagar empire headed by Krishnadeva Rayalu. The major attractions include Rayalaseema mutton pulao, Miriyalu liver curry, Seema Kodi fry, Veta Mamsam, Kamuju bird fry, brain kheema, Kadapa chicken curry, Kurnool fish pulusu among others.

Sales and marketing manager Gopi Kurakula appealed to the citizens to avail the opportunity to taste the delicacies of Rayalaseema at dinner buffet everyday from Saturday.
