Vijayawada: Skill development courses for children of ex-army personnel

Vijayawada: Andhra University is offering various courses with the cooperation of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation to the ex-servicemen and their children during 2020-21 academic year, District Sainik Welfare Officer VV Raja Rao said in a statement here on Saturday.

He said that various skill development courses including diploma in fire and safety engineering, foreign languages, logistics and supply chain management, certificate course in cyber security and certificate course in disaster management of three months duration will be provided under the programme. The ex-servicemen and their children who have completed Intermediate (MPC) may apply in these courses, he said.

Several other courses are also available online for the armed forces personnel, ex-servicemen and their children including M.Sc in defence strategic studies and management of international relations, diploma in disaster management, diploma in yoga, diploma in marine engineering, diploma in marine electrical and navigation system, certificate course in fire and industrial safety engineering, certificiate course in cyber security and diploma in education.
