Visakhapatnam: APCC secretary Mula Venkatarao here on Thursday requested Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to take forward 'AP SETHU' (Bridge) scheme to help skilled workers, who returned to the State, secure employment.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, he said the government should conduct survey of the skilled workers, who returned to the State. The survey is to identify the skills each worker possessed.

After identifying the skills, the workers possessed, and determining the number of workers, the government would hold talks with factory, workshop owners and contractors who undertook infrastructure projects, such as roads and bridges, to ensure that the maximum number of workers are employed, Venkata Rao said.

He said the State government would act as a bridge between workers and employers so that both are benefited. This would heop the industries secure skilled workers and also the workers get employment, he said.
