Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the Minister said about 7,567 hectares of crop loss was registered in the district, including paddy and sugarcane crops.

"In all 37,474 farmers received Rs 11.35 crore input subsidy. As a part of the third phase of the YSR Rythu Bharosa, 44,532 farmers received Rs 15.55 crore," the Minister explained.

During Cyclone Nivar, crop loss was one of the main challenges experienced by the farmers, the Minister pointed out. "However, the State government is keen on uplifting the farmers through various schemes within a month as assured," he said. Speaking about Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, the Minister condemned his remarks on Minister Kodali Nani.
