Vizag New DIG assures people-friendly policing
New Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range, LKV Ranga Rao said that top priority will be given for prevention of crime and people-friendly policing.
Visakhapatnam: New Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range, LKV Ranga Rao said that top priority will be given for prevention of crime and people-friendly policing. Speaking to media after taking charge as DIG here on Wednesday, he said that controlling Maoist activity was top on his priority list and added that there would be zero tolerance to dishonesty.
Extending gratitude to the State government for giving him the opportunity to serve as DIG in Visakhapatnam Range, he assured that steps will be taken to tackle the issues pertaining to Maoists.
The new DIG said that he has a track record of working in anti-extremist operations for 14 years. Apart from maintaining law and order, he said every effort would be made to serve people by getting close to them.
