A software engineer, K Avinash Kuna, aged 30, from Visakhapatnam city died in a lake when he reportedly drowned after diving off from a boat in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey on Saturday
Visakhapatnam: A software engineer, K Avinash Kuna, aged 30, from Visakhapatnam city died in a lake when he reportedly drowned after diving off from a boat in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey on Saturday. Rescue teams fished out the body on Monday, according to information reaching here.
Avinash, song of K Venkata Rao a foreman in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, was working as a software engineer at a private company in Parsippany. He had gone to the US five years back to pursue his masters.
Avinash celebrated his birthday on May 28. While remembering the birthday celebrations of Avinash, the entire family was in deep shock, according to one of his relatives.
It was learnt that Avinash dived into the waters which is only about 9 feet deep. Avinash was caught in the mire of the lake and thick weeds and could not resurface.
Meanwhile, Avinash relatives and VSP union leaders urged, Visakhapatnam Collector K Bhaskar for expeditious return of his mortal remains to India at the earliest.
The Collector wrote a letter to Special Chief Secretary, Protocol, to take necessary steps.
