Vizianagaram: For the first time, Vizianagaram is going to host three-day international level practice match between South Africa and Indian Boards President's-XI from September 26-28 at PVG Raju Stadium.

The actual test match will be held between India and South Africa team from October 2-6 in Visakhapatnam. Speaking on the occasion, secretary of north zone G V Sanyasi Raju said that Rohit Sharma would be the captain to Indian team and Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nayar, Sardul Thakur and other prominent players would be in the Boards President -XI team.

Quinton De Kock would be the captain for South Africa team. All amenities were provided for the practice match and the pitch was also prepared as per their requirement, he said. Over 1,000 cricket lovers are expected to view the match and some schools are getting ready to send their students to watch the match, he added.

Member of District Cricket Association G Seetharamaraju and administrative officer C Jagadish Naidu participated in the programme. Later they released a brochure on the practice match.
