Don’t let emotions sway you, Pawan cautions electorate

Rajamahendravaram/Kakinada: Just a day before the end of electioneering for Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan said the people have a powerful weapon 'vote' in their hands and this time they should use it with care and not get carried away by emotions.

Pawan said the people should think whether they need someone like Jana Sena who is committed to work for them or a person who craved to become a chief minister even before the last rites of his father were performed. Lashing at the YSRCP, the Jana Sena chief said Jaganmohan Reddy was purchasing votes at the rate of Rs 2000 and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was luring women voters with Pasupu Kumkuma scheme by paying Rs 10,000.

Pawan said he is not the one who would submit to anyone as Jagan was doing. He alleged that Jagan had succumbed to pressures from PM Narendra Modi and Telangana CM KCR and mortgaged the interests of the state. But he was not a person who can be made to bend before anyone.

The Jana Sena chief claimed that once Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's brother-in-law Ravindra Reddy came to him and threatened him to act in a movie which he (Reddy) wants to produce. How can anyone force me to act in a film just because he happens to be brother-in-law of a CM? "Will they agree if I barge into their house and ask for a share in Idupulapaya estate? People like me had to face a difficult situation during YSR's time.
