Weather report: Southwest Monsoon hits Andhra Pradesh, enters Rayalaseema

Last year, the monsoon has arrived on June 21. On the other hand, the slight showers occurred at some parts of the state on Saturdays and Sundays.

On the other hand, the surface trough extends over the eastern central Bay of Bengal and the northern Andaman Sea. It is estimated that the impact will likely be felt over the next 48 hours in parts of East-Central Bay of Bengal resulting in thunderstorms and lightning in the coastal areas. There is a chance of mild to heavy rain. Officials say mild to moderate rains in Rayalaseema areas as well.
