Amaravati: Former Minister and senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Wednesday accused the YSRCP government of not bringing any development in Andhra Pradesh in the first year of its regime even though the State's financial situation was healthy during 2019-20.

Ramakrishnudu called it is a total failure and inefficiency on the part of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for taking policies that harmed the State's economy. At the same time, the Jagan regime was trying hard to cover up its incapacities and failures by attributing the deepening financial crisis to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact.

In a statement here, the Opposition Leader in AP Council said that in just 19 months, Jagan has become a non-performing Chief Minister in the eyes of the public. As a result, the State's overall development and finances took a severe beating. On one hand, the AP exchequer became empty with no hope of any immediate recovery. On the other hand, the YSRCP leaders' personal treasuries were full and overflowing with cash.

Ramakrishnudu deplored that the YSRCP government had struck terror and created a fear psychosis among all sections of the people. The industrialists and investors everywhere were unwilling to look even towards the State. Even those already present in the State were making their new investments in other States. The ruling party leaders were not showing any tolerance or accommodative spirit towards others.

The TDP leader deplored that in a short period of his rule, Jagan has brought Andhra Pradesh under a Jungle Raj where injustices and atrocities became the order of the day. Even the judiciary came under unsparing attacks of the ruling party leaders. The Constitutional institutions like the State Election Commission were ignored and humiliated. Despite the courts' repeated strictures, the YSRCP government was not changing its defiant, anti-democracy mindset.
