YSR Congress MP Kotagiri Sridhar and Special Representative of the Andhra Pradesh Government of North America Pandugayala Ratnakar are working towards the investment in AP. The delegation met with the Alliance for US-India Business (AUSIB) on Tuesday to strengthen relations between the Andhra Pradesh government and industrialists and entrepreneurs.

Sridhar and Ratnakar explained to the AUSIB representatives that there are many opportunities in Andhra Pradesh to invest in Andhra Pradesh. Sridhar detailed the investment opportunities in the state's infrastructure, technology, defence and smart city development. Sanjay Puri, Founding President of AUSIB, said there are enormous opportunities for business opportunities in AP. Partnership with US industrialists and investors will put Andhra Pradesh on the world map.

The state government has already identified Vijayawada, Kakinada, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam as smart cities. Ratnakar described investment opportunities for US investors in sectors such as agriculture, seafood, smart cities, health care and renewable energy.

AUSIB Chief Executive Officer Manish Chauhan spoke about the opportunities available in technology, defence exports, commercial ventures, uncrewed vehicles and education. AUSIB senior consultant Jeremy Spaulding said that India is already one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and that India is already a potential market place.

Both sides have agreed to create a road map to make the state a prime example for other states in the country to plan industrial development in Andhra Pradesh by identifying potential areas through AUSIB.
