Yerragondapalem : Education minister Dr Audimulapu Suresh distributed housing plots under the YSR Jagananna Illa Pattalu programme at Mallampalem village in Yerragondapalem mandal and Tripurantakam on Monday.
The minister said that the government is concerned about the welfare of women in the state and proving the benefits of all schemes directly to them. Unlike in the past, he said that the government is distributing 31 lakh housing plots to the poor families in the state.
He announced that they are taking action to construct 28 lakh houses in the state. He said that about twelve thousand plots in the constituency and all layouts will be developed as colonies by providing all amenities.
The minister announced that the selection of the beneficiaries is done in a transparent way and advised that if any eligible family is mistakenly left out, to apply for the plot again. The housing PD Sainath, tahsildar Kiran, MPDO Sudarsanam, and others also participated in the programme.
