Mangalagiri: Opposition leader and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday slammed the YSRCP Government for 'misleading' and 'betraying' the poor beneficiaries by spreading false claims on the pensions, ration cards and other benefits.

Naidu criticised Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for wrongly claiming that the Government was giving 61.94 lakh pensions while the records show that only 52.90 lakh pensions were being given in January. This was clearly lesser than 54.19 lakh pensions given by the TDP regime in April, 2019.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, he said that though the facts were giving a clear picture about gradual reduction of pensions since the YSRCP came to power, the Chief Minister was spreading lies that the TDP gave pensions only at the time of elections.

The CM had no right to say that TDP MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu should not be allowed to enter the Assembly. Only when the ruling YSRCP members attacked Ramanaidu saying he was Dramanaidu, the TDP members called Jagan as Jail Reddy.

The TDP chief asserted that serious loss was caused to the SC, ST, BC and Muslim Minorities under the direct benefit transfer scheme.

Only after the TDP exposed the Government on crop insurance premium, the Government issued sanction orders during midnight. These fake statements were proving that this Government was being run by hardboiled criminals who do not hesitate to tell any sort of lies.

Naidu said that the hollowness of the Jagan regime was exposed further going by how the Disha Act proved to be a farce eventually. Jagan Reddy had no minimum responsibility to send a message to society that strong action would be taken against perpetrators of atrocities on women.
