Within 13 years, K R Sachidanandan worked his way up to create some trendsetting films in Malayalam. His recent film ' Ayyappanum Koshiyum' was the biggest hit of the year and was already readying up to be seen across the country in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. However, the journey of the 48-year-old director began with Mohanlal as a screenwriter with his 2012 release 'Run Baby Run'.
Graduating from being a screenplay writer along with his friend Sethu (presumably on the lines of the famous duo Salim- Javed) he moved on his own track as a director for over five years. He gave Prithviraj a hit film on his directorial debut ' Anarkali'. It is also Sachi's credit that within 50 days, he gave two major successes in 'Driving Licence' and ' Ayyappanum Koshiyum' with the same hero.
Malayalam film lovers also remember his hit film 'Ram Leela' starring Dileep when the actor was involved in a case of harassing a film actress and was in and out of jail. Fans and industry folks will find his loss irreplaceable for a long time.
