Sandalwood challenging star Darshan who came live on Facebook has shared a few details about his upcoming movie Roberrt and on the state of affairs in the industry.
The actor also spoke about the release of his movie 'Roberrt' on March 11 which has made his fans happy. The actor said that there will be no celebration of birthday this year owing to the coronavirus pandemic
and has requested his fans not to come near his house. Besides, the Kannada actor has also expressed his unhappiness over OTT platforms.
"We undergo a lot of hardships and produce movies to show them on the silver screen. I too have freedom of speech. All these days I used to think well before speaking anything about its pros and cons. Today, everyone is talking about OTT. Now-a-days, a producer brings money from somewhere to make a movie. We also work hard at the cost of our lives with a single motive to entertain the crowd. You don't get such pleasure when you watch them on mobiles and television sets," says D boss.
"Schools have reopened, Colleges have opened up too, Marriages are being performed, thousands gather at market places. The rules that don't apply to these places applies to cinema theatres? The reason for all these setbacks is 5G! Ambanis have started 5G. This appears to be a big scam. This is my opinion. Movies are not getting released in theatres. Only when mobiles are used 5G will survive. For this reason they might have done this with the influence of big people.
We won't give our movies to OTT under any circumstances. We release movies only through theatres even if they give 25 percent occupancy. Hence 'Roberrt' will get released on March 11 for sure. 2020 will be an unforgettable year. We have learnt many lessons. Crores of people have suffered. Let 2021 bring prosperity to everyone. People have lost their jobs, had no money, had no food...we have seen many such difficulties during last year. Hence there will be no birthday this year (February 16)," signs off Darshan.
Darshan's upcoming movie Roberrt is directed by Tharun Sudhir and Arjun Janya has scored the music. The movie stars Asha Bhatt, Vinod Prabhakar, Ravi Kishan and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
