Fondly called as Annavru, Dr Rajkumar had done a variety of roles. From playing a James Bond and hero to playing a villain and a father, Rajkumar would excel in every role he performed. He has to his credit some memorable movies. One such family drama was Bhagyavantharu starring B Saroja Devi in a lead role.

The latest we hear is that Dr Rajkumar's famous movie Bhagyavantharu which was a blockbuster in those days is all set to re-release again with some technical modifications. The makers are said to have applied new technology to the movie to enhance the picture quality. As per reports, M Muniraju of Muneshwara films is busy with the re-release works and if all goes well, the maker is intending to re-release Dr Rajkumar's Bhagyavantharu on the big screen in new technology post lockdown. The movie which was made under Dwarkish Chitra banner will be-released in cinemascope DI technology.

Now just the movie, even songs of Bhagyavantharu were chartbusters. While Chi.Uday Shankar scored the music, Rajan-Nagendra penned the lyrics. Bhagyvantharu which starred Dr Rajkumar in the lead role also starred yesteryear actress B Saroja Devi and Ashok in key roles.

The movie was directed by Bhargava and Muneswara Films is planning to distribute the movie across the state for its re-release.
