This music director who faced obesity issues, ultimately collapsing to it, is remembered during his short life as a January director as his films released between 2006-09 as Sankranthi releases were big hits. 'Desamuduru' is one of the four films of that category.
His sweet spots of success were actor Ravi Teja and director Puri Jagannadh who gave him many chances, as many as ten on an average. Prabhas, Siddharth, Nithin, Ram and Allari Naresh were other heroes for whose films he composed good music. Today is Chakri's 46th birth anniversary. 'Rey' (2015) of Sai Dharam Tej, his debut but released as a second film had a musical treat from Chakri. Saiyami Kher of 'Choked' OTT fame paired with him.
