Although Keerthy Suresh is doing lady-oriented movies, she reportedly declined to play a cop in a film to be produced by Rana Daggupati with a young director.

"Keerthy Suresh was unwilling to don khakis and politely declined the offer," says a source, close to the unit.

Actually, Rana's team approached the actress for the remake of a Korean movie, which is tale of cop who takes on the might of drug mafia, but the national-award winning actress turned it down.

"Probably, she didn't want to play an angry cop and change her soft girl image," he adds.

Meanwhile, she is doing an author-backed role in Mahesh Koneru's production and playing a model in this much talked-about movie being helmed by Narendra Nath. "Keerthy wants to do roles with substance by shunning usual glam-prop roles. Now, she has thumbed down an action films as well," the source concludes.

However, she shared screen space with Tamil superstars like Vijay (Sarkar) and Vishal (Pandem Kodi 2) and Vikram in (Saamy 2) to expand her fan base.

"After massive success of 'Mahanati,' she moved to K-town to make a mark with her chirpy roles opposite big stars and gained some mileage," the source points out.

Interestingly, she hasn't signed any film with a big Telugu star after 'Mahanati,' although, she has been listening to scripts in the last few months.

No doubt, she is not in hurry in Telugu and waiting for the 'meaty roles to keep her flag flying high.
