After tasting success with campus-caper like 'Happy Days' and romantic drama 'Fidaa,' new-age director Sekhar Kammula will be reportedly making a hard-hitting film 'Love Story' against 'honour killing' with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead.

"The film will be touching upon the topic of honour killing since the director was moved by many real-life killings in Telangana state. He would reiterate the fact that true love transcends boundaries of caste and creed," says a source, close to the unit.

It is learnt that Naga Chaitanya is playing a low-caste guy, while Sai Pallavi hails from an upper caste family and their love triggers a big conflict.

Actually, Sekar Kammula shot this hard-hitting theme with all new cast and almost completed 70% of the work. However, friend and producer Dil Raju, who watched the content, advised producer Sunil Narang and director Sekhar Kammula to rope in popular stars to ensure their message reaches far and beyond.

The director reportedly scrapped the version with newcomers and began shooting with the scion of Akkineni family and teen sensation Sai Pallavi, adds the source.

No doubt, soft-spoken and well-educated Sekhar Kammula wants to explore new kind of cinema that mirrors the happenings in real-life. Last year's blockbuster 'Rangasthalam' was also about 'honour killing' and minted pots of gold at the box office.
