The action thriller 'Raangi' will have its OTT premiere on January 29. The film stars Trisha in the lead role and also has an ensemble cast including Anaswara Rajan, Bekzod Abdumalikov, Lizzie Antony, John, Mahendran, Gopi Kannadasan, and Waqar Khan in supporting roles. The film, written and directed by M. Saravanan, is his debut directorial, too. Music is composed by C Sathya while cinematography and editing are handled by K. A. Sakthivel and M Subarak respectively.
The story is all about Thaiyal Nayagi, a reporter who lives with her brother, sister-in-law, and her niece Sushmita. One day, Thaiyal finds out that a fake Facebook account in Sushmita's name is in talks with a person named Aalim, who works with a terrorist organization in Tunisia. As Thaiyal gets involved in it, it causes trouble for her and Sushmita, and she is arrested. Later, the FBI decides to use Thaiyal and Sushmita as bait in order to lure Aalim and take him into their custody. What happened to Sushmita? Could Thaiyal prove to the FBI that Sushmita was innocent? The consequences form the rest of the plot.
