Hyderabad-based P Priya launched an application 'Vinu Maree!' in June 2020. This is an application available in Google Play Store as well as in apple podcast. Vinu Maree! brings to you Telugu stories for your children to listen and have knowledge about the Indian roots, they would not be aware off

Today English has become such a neutral language wherein every one of us speaks English. With an aim to make the current generation kids aware of the Indian stories, P Priya, a resident of Hyderabad, who herself is a soft skills trainer started an application 'Vinu Maree!' which means 'Listen'. Priya launched this application her YouTube channel officially in June.

Priya shares, "These stories are exclusive in Telugu. I was benefited a lot by these stories. If me and my sister we fought and my mom used to narrate a story, irrelevant on what we what for. She used to somewhere relate this story to the fight and make us understand. After which I automatically used to understand whatever I told my sister was not appropriate and apologized to my sister. For instance, every time I teach spot analysis where we talk about strength, weakness and opportunities, I have 5 different stories to explain the same method. Whatever I teach, I see to it that I narrate some story along with the topic so that my students implement them in their real life."

The stories, Indian culture and her parents have inspired her to come up with 'Vinu Maree!' She started it as a passion. She makes sure about maintaining the quality and authenticity of the stories. These stories are original. There are many stories that have different versions.

"Recently they have started Bhagavad Gita in pros. Bhagavad Gita is written in shlokas so now we are translating it into pros so that everyone can understand the importance. Children are not understanding the importance of anything. They do not know the importance of God. They should not fear God but should love god. The way my parents bought me up and today if I know anything about the stories it's because of them. When power cuts happened, we used to get happy as we used to get to listen stories. There is something very beautiful about these stories that the present generations do not know about. Through this I want them to be aware of these stories in Telugu," she adds.

She kept writing articles and few of her articles have won best articles awards also. She has also compiled few of her articles, wrote it in a book form which was launched by Chandrababu Naidu in May 2016.

She shares, "My mom kept encouraging me to write books and then I started up with these stories. These stories are going to be beneficial for the children. When I tell my sisters son who is hardly a 7-year-old a story, he immediately says I know why you're saying this? When I ask him why he says I behaved liked this for that reason you're narrating this. I realized this generation kids are very smart. He loves these illusion characters like Avengers, batman, spiderman. I wanted to tell him about Viranjanaya (Hanuman). I told him Hanuman is real and the other characters are illusion they are just a human creation. But Hanuman, Bheema, Chanakya are real and then when I started stories, I did a lot of research and wanted this to be very authentic."

They translate these stories directly from Sanskrit to Telugu and make sure there are no copyright issues.

Sharing about the same, she says, "Jagannatha Sharma is one of the greatest writers ever in telugu who can write any genre. I read one of his stories and fell in love with his story and how beautifully he has explained. Thankfully I was able to contact him and spoke to him. He started giving us the stories.

When you ask kids now who Satyabhama is, they start thinking who she is. They know the major people but apart from them they do not know anybody. These days we do not find anyone greeting their parents or teachers like how we used to do it earlier. There is a beautiful shloka written in telugu about greeting parents, teachers and then god. Indirectly we are trying to talk everything. Different stories like Panchatantra, Chanakya, Mahabharata gives us different learnings."
