Hubballi: Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi railway station is a NSG3 category station with an average daily footfall of 36,000 prior to Covid pandemic period. In order to provide quality food for the rail users at the Railway Station and also for on-board passengers, Food Inn, an IRCTC refreshment room has been opened today at Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Railway station. Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal & Mines inaugurated the renovated IRCTC Refreshment Room at Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Railway station on Sunday. This refreshment room is located on Platform 1 of SSS Hubballi station.
Shankar Patil Munenakoppa, MLA, Navalgund and Ajay Kumar Singh, GM/SWR were Guests of Honour.
Among others Jogendra Yadavendu, ADRM, Hubballi; B. Ramesh, Regional Manager, IRCTC; Dinesh Singh Tomar, MD of DST Services were present. Management of this refreshment room will be done by a new agency - DST Caterers. Pralhad Joshi inspected the refreshment room and expressed hope that the renovated refreshment room will cater to the needs of travelling public by providing quality food at affordable rates. The interiors of refreshment room are aesthetically designed with elegant seating, wall paintings and sophisticated lighting etc.
The Refreshment room prepares food in the base kitchen available at the railway station and serves food in Dine area of the refreshment room. It prepares both Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Separate dining areas of available for veg and non-veg food. Take-away counters are also available. The hygienically prepared food here will also be sold on all the platforms during train arrival to cater to the food requirement of on-board passengers.
Besides, it also supplies meals and other items for use and distribution by pantry cars for train side vending. Food Items of both North Indian & South Indian Food cuisines are made available here. Vegetarian food items like idli, vada, veg thali etc. and non-vegetarian food items like chicken biryani, egg biryani etc., beverages like coffee, tea, cool drinks, drinking water etc. are available here, besides Janata Khana. Rate chart is displayed and for all sales bill will be given. Option of Digital payment is also available. Covid protocol is being followed strictly.
