Many residents of Pub Malaybari village are in shock and disappointment. Most of the people in this village, who have been living in there for many years, have not yet been considered as Indians till date. Majority of them consists of Bengali Hindus.
While 99 percent of Muslim residents in the nearby village have got their names in the list, out of 3,000 Bengali Hindus, 2,000 have still not got their names registered in the NRC.
This has now become an emotional setback for the villagers. People of Pub Malaybari village have now started questioning the government if they would ever get justice. This is a big question mark for the whole of India and its citizens.
