11 pilgrims of a family from Hyderabad who has gone on a pilgrimage to Masshad in Iran have stranded after coronavirus outbreak.

11 pilgrims of a family from Hyderabad who has gone on a pilgrimage to Masshad in Iran have stranded after coronavirus outbreak. A group of 11 people including eight women and three men have sought the help of Indian authorities to get back to the country.

It is known that Iran is one of those counties which have reported many coronavirus positive cases. After the rise in the cases, the Iran has suspended flights to other countries.

A woman from the group sent a message that Air Arabia has confirmed their return flight to India before they came to Masshad and later cancelled it after COVID-19 outbreak. The family appealed to the external affairs minister Jai Shankar to help them in returning to India.

AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also sent a representation to the external affairs minister, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and minister KT Rama Rao to get the family back to the country.
