120 kg ganja worth Rs 24 lakh seized in Hyderabad
The city police have busted a ganja smuggling gang and seized 120 kg of the contraband worth Rs 24 lakh from their possession.
The city police have busted a ganja smuggling gang and seized 120 kg of the contraband worth Rs 24 lakh from their possession. Two cars, Rs 1,200 cash, five mobile phones have also been recovered from the gang.
The arrested were identified as Gandikota Kumar, Nune Vijayender and Rajesh. While other two members -- Raju and Sameer of the gang were at large. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
The police said that the gang has been procuring ganja from Ashwaraopet and agency areas in Bhadradri and are selling in Mumbai.
On January 29, 2020 - the LB Nagar special operations team (SOT) police busted an inter state ganja peddling gang and seized 108 kg ganja from them. The police arrested the smugglers while transporting the ganja to other states.
