Hyderabad: Forum Hyderabad was back with yet another edition of "FORUM PURPLE RUN" this year. The run which is a CSR initiative of Forum aims to create awareness about Alzheimer's.

The run was flagged off from Forum Mall, Kukatpally on Sunday at 5.00 AM and 2000 runners from the city participated in 5 km and 10 km categories. Alzheimer's is the fifth leading cause of death among people above the age group of 55 Years & Forum strives to create awareness by organizing Purple Run every year as running is the preventive medicine to fight Alzheimer's".

Speaking on the occasion, Tanveer Shaikh, Cluster Head Forum Malls, said, "We are overwhelmed with the response this year. The run for creating awareness about Alzheimer's is growing bigger and better every year. People of Hyderabad believe in following a healthy lifestyle and always come forward to stand for a cause".

Forum Hyderabad donated a part of the proceeds from this run to Alzheimer's & Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI) Hyderabad Deccan Chapter this year. The Run was flagged off by Dr Chandrasekhar, Vice President ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan chapter and Tanveer Shaikh.
