The 4-day capacity building workshop on ‘Crop Simulation Modelling’ for the teachers of PJTSAU has started at Agro Climate Research Centre of Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) in Rajendranagar.

Rajendranagar: The 4-day capacity building workshop on 'Crop Simulation Modelling' for the teachers of PJTSAU has started at Agro Climate Research Centre of Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) in Rajendranagar.

The training on capacity building was inaugurated in the presence of Dr R Jagadeshwar, Director of Research at PJTSAU, Dr J Satyanarayana, Dean of Agriculture Department, Dr G Sreenivas, Principal Scientist (Agro) & Head of Agro Climate Research Centre, ARI, Rajendranagar.

As many as 19 participants from all the six agricultural colleges and three research stations were present in the programme. The main objective of the programme is to train the staff on crop simulation models, its calibration validation, sensitivity analysis and the applications in mitigation the climate risks. The programme also aids the teaching faculty to deliver their crop simulation modeling lectures effectively.
