CA students protest over valuation process
Students pursuing CA course on Wednesday staged a protest in front of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Hyderabad branch office, alleging irregularities in valuation of answer sheets for the CA exam conducted recently.
Nampally: Students pursuing CA course on Wednesday staged a protest in front of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Hyderabad branch office, alleging irregularities in valuation of answer sheets for the CA exam conducted recently.
Krishna, a student who appeared for CA exam, said that injustice was done to thousands of students who appeared for the exam due to faulty valuation. Of 1.5 lakh students who appeared for Group 1 & 2 exams, only 23,000 students managed to clear the exam, he rued.
The protesters demanded an opportunity for revaluation of their papers. They said that they would withdraw their agitation only after ICAI Hyderabad branch president Praful gives them a written assurance on revaluation of papers.
The students also demanded that ICAI take action against those responsible for the faulty valuation and do justice to the students. Students Vignan, Gaurav, Nagarjuna, Deepak Sharma, Sushmitha and 50 other students participated in the protest.
