Call to make green drive a huge success
Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy participated on Friday in a training programme on 'Raising of saplings and their protection' for public representatives and village-level officials as a part of the 'Haritha Haram' programme in the MPP office here.
Patancheru: Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy participated on Friday in a training programme on 'Raising of saplings and their protection' for public representatives and village-level officials as a part of the 'Haritha Haram' programme in the MPP office here.
Reddy, who was the chief guest, called upon both officials and peoples representatives to strive for the success of Haritha Haram. He pointed out that the State government was taking up the programme as a prestigious one for protecting the environment; hence everyone should form part of it.
Later, participating in the Haritha Haram programme in the Government Junior College in Patancheru mandal, Reddy planted a sapling on the campus. He explained to students the importance of the programme, while appealing to them to become active participants in it.
"Every student should plant saplings in his/her house," Reddy stressed. Officials of all departments, local ZPTC Member Prabhakar, MPTC members and sarpanches attended.
