GHMC has started My GHMC mobile app, call centre, Prajavani and even a website to receive complaints from the people related to the sanitation work, township, drainage and engineering works.

Chandanagar: In a recent survey conducted by the Greater Hyderabad municipal Corporation (GHMC), Alwal, Kapra, Secunderabad, Chandanagar and Hayathnagar circles topped the GHMC complaints list, while the Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Rajendranagar, Goshamahal and Kukatpally circles are at the bottom of the complaints list. The survey was based on the complaints and their responses through My GHMC app, public domain, online, call center and Twitter.

GHMC has started My GHMC mobile app, call centre, Prajavani and even a website to receive complaints from the people related to the sanitation work, township, drainage and engineering works.

The civic body received around 96,927 complaints and GHMC claims to have resolved 80,807 (82.95 percent) in four and half months from April 1, 2019 to August 15, 2019.

Around 2,141 complaints were reopened and 1,530 complaints were in the direction of redress. Another 12,449 complaints are pending. Most of the 12,449 complaints pending are due to heavy budget, long-term planning and coordination of various departments.

My GHMC app sees 8 lakh downloads

GHMC has started My GHMC mobile app on July 15 last year and till now it has got around 8, 78, 453 download. Around 4,482 complaints resolved against 4,814 complaints (93.10 percent) in Alwal and topped the list and in Kapra are in second position around 4,192 complaints resolved against 4,589 complaints (91.35 percent). Secunderabad stood in third position by solving around 4,597 complaints against 5,096 complaints.

Collecting feedback on solved issues

GHMC has set up a wing to collect the feedback from the people about how they are feeling and whether they satisfied with the solved issue which they have complained about in My GHMC app. Commissioner instructed the officials to open the issues and try to readdress again and around 2,141 complaints have re-opened by collecting the feedback.

Apart from Hyderabad, the mobile app has been downloaded by the people who stay in US, Saudi, Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Singapore, Britain, Germany, Kuwait, Hongkong, Netherlands, Malaysia, Canada, China, France and other countries. People by staying in other countries also they are placing their queries through app and getting solutions from GHMC officials.
