Patancheru: Leaders of CITU/CPI(M) on Tuesday submitted a representation to Roads & Buildings DAO Ramu seeking immediate expansion of the road from Biramguda to Kishtareddypet to solve problems of local residents.

While submitting the representation, CPI(M) district secretary Narsimha Reddy accused the State government of not paying enough attention to people's problems and "limiting itself to only laying of foundation stones and unveiling of plaques."

The leaders stated that students, women and thousands of vehicle-owners of Biramguda were facing severe hardship because of lack of road. It pointed out that the administration and people's representatives have been only giving false assurances on the demand for the road.

The leaders while seeking immediate road laying work warned that if it was not taken up immediately, the CITU/CPI(M) would launch a people's agitation. The CPI(M) leaders who accompanied Reddy included Lingamayya, Gopal Reddy, Lakshmayya, Ganesh and Chandu.
