Cops advise caution on Salarjung bridge

Darushifa: Due to the slippery road, Sultan Bazar traffic Police put up a flexi board for the commuters to drive carefully on the notorious slushy stretch of Salarjung Bridge in Darulshifa .

The bridge is notorious for being greasy generally during the entire year and particularly posing hazards during rainy season, owing to its close proximity to GHMC's major garbage dumping yard.

The reason is said to be plying of vehicles from different locations carrying garbage, which sometimes spills over and falls on road. The passers-by find it difficult to cross the bridge at any given point of time and in case of rainfall it becomes riskier. Motorists and pedestrians are hassled by this phenomenon.
