Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud calls for tree plantation
Local Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud on Tuesday said absence of adequate trees was to be blamed for the adverse changes in the atmosphere and the daily lives of people.
Allwyn Colony: Local Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud on Tuesday said absence of adequate trees was to be blamed for the adverse changes in the atmosphere and the daily lives of people.
Speaking after planting saplings in Shamshiguda, he reminded people that it was everyone's responsibility to take up tree plantation for protecting the environment. Goud remarked that, "trees provide life support to every being. If you protect plants they in turn protect you and your children."
The corporator described planting of saplings as a "good programme. One should not neglect the planted saplings; they should be protected to ensure their survival." Among those present at the event included TRS youth leader Dodla Ramakrishna Goud, TRS leaders J Ganesh, Kasani Shankar, Mahesh, Bhaskar, Poshetty, Narsimlu and Anjaneyulu.
