National president of Disabled Helpline India, writer and Disabled Rights activist Pt Vikas Sharma on Tuesday appealed to people of the country to exercise their franchise in favour of the BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and help retain Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, who had done much for the disabled persons in the country.

Hyderabad: National president of Disabled Helpline India, writer and Disabled Rights activist Pt Vikas Sharma on Tuesday appealed to people of the country to exercise their franchise in favour of the BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and help retain Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, who had done much for the disabled persons in the country.

Speaking at a media conference, Pt Vikas Sharma said vote was the right and duty of every citizen and they should vote for BJP which spares no efforts for the welfare of the people, especially disabled persons in the country. He said, "Vote is our voice. Vote will give us social justice and political participation". He also said Prime Minister Modi was the only PM who was giving great opportunities to disabled persons and respecting them.

Vikas said many states in the country were ready to give special benefits like Rs 3,500 monthly pension, free journey in RTC buses, free education and free stamp duty for purchasing property by disabled people. Srisailam, State Convener, BJP Divyang Cell, Giridhara Chary, State Joint convener, BJP Divyang cell, Rajavardhan Reddy, Deaf leader and Vaman Ravindra and others were present.
