Patancheru: Disappointed with the callous attitude of authorities towards the civic issues, the residents of Shanti Nagar are moving out of the locality.

According to them, the area is nothing but a garbage dump. The piles of garbage and overflowing drainage streaming through the streets keeps people away from visiting the locality. Because of mounds of garbage and overflowing drainages, the residents often fall prey to diseases.

However, despite their umpteen pleas, the concerned officials are lease bothered about their problems. And seeing more problems flowing in during the monsoon season and expecting no action from the authorities, they have decided to shift to some better place for the sake of health of the family members.

A local resident shared, "People have started moving out of this place already because of the drainage problems. During rains the stagnant water enters our houses, everyone is falling sick. Each house has at least one person falling sick these days, and all is because of this drainage problem. We have informed every concerned person, but all the efforts are in vain. If this problem is not solved it will soon turn into an abandoned place where nobody lives."
