TRS wins majority seats in IT corridor
The ruling TRS party managed to win majority of the seats in the IT Corridor in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
Hyderabad: The ruling TRS party managed to win majority of the seats in the IT Corridor in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
The TRS has been vocal on the Information Technology and claims the credit of bringing major IT companies to the city. The party has won the elections in the divisions like Madhapur, Kondapur, Serilingampally, Chandanagar, Miyapur and Hafeezpet.
These are the areas in which many IT professionals reside and work in the IT corridor. The TRS working president KT Rama Rao started his campaign in the form of roadshows from these areas. He had also addressed meetings with the professionals at HICC. He had talked about the efforts of TRS to bring five major companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and Apple have their second base in the city.
Incidentally the BJP has won in one division in Gachibowli, which also has many reputed companies.
