GHMC staff inspects fuel outlets, hotels
GHMC Deputy Commissioner KJ Vijay Krishna, Medical Officer Mallikarjuna Rao, Sanitary Inspector Ajeem and sanitation staff conducted inspection at Om Sai Service Center petrol pump at Vanasthalipuram main road in Abhyudaya Nagar on Friday.
LB Nagar: GHMC Deputy Commissioner KJ Vijay Krishna, Medical Officer Mallikarjuna Rao, Sanitary Inspector Ajeem and sanitation staff conducted inspection at Om Sai Service Center petrol pump at Vanasthalipuram main road in Abhyudaya Nagar on Friday.
A penalty of Rs 20,000 was imposed as toilets were dirty, and there were no separate toilets for male and female. There are also no direction signs to toilets and no lights in the toilets. Officials informed through a notice that regular checks will be conducted in all petrol bunks in LB Nagar and Saroor Nagar divisions. In case of any failure in maintaining sanitation norms, those petrol bunks will be seized.
Later, GHMC officials conducted a visit to Hotel Abhinand Grand at Kamineni Hospital and imposed Rs 1,00,000 penalty as they were using plastic which is less than 50 microns and releasing solid materials into drainage.
