Basheerbagh: Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) organised a condolence meeting in memory of the noted journalist Raghavachari who recently passed away. The meeting was held here at the auditorium in TUWJ office here on Sunday.

Indian Journalists Union (IJU) K Srinivas Reddy, AP Government Advisor and senior journalist Devulapalli Amar, senior journalists Dr K Ramachandra Murthy, Chennamaneni Rajeshwar Rao, Rajender, RV Rama Rao, Chandrashekhar Reddy, wife of Raghavachari, Jyotsna, former PCC member K Amarnath, IJU secretary Y Narender Reddy, national executive member of IJU K Satyanarayana, TUWJ leaders Mallaiah, Rajesh, Swamy, HUJ secretary Shiga Shankar Goud and others attended the programme and paid tributes to Raghavachari. Journalists who spoke on the occasion lauded the professionalism of Raghavachari and urged fellow journalists to take the journalist, who stood for his values and ideology till his last breath, as their role model.

They said that Raghavachari had proved that journalism was not a marketable commodity and wished that journalism remains a weapon in the hands of people. Srinivas Reddy announced that a memorial speech would be organised on the birth anniversary of Raghavachari every year by Media Education Foundation.
