Countering the ‘money-centered politics’ played by the TRS, Congress leader Jagga Reddy says the party will strategise for the upcoming polls once the appointment to the post of TPCC chief is done

Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy stated that Congress, if required, would not hesitate to spend as much money as possible to counter Telangana Rashtra Samithi's money-centered strategies to win the elections.

In a chit-chat with the media on Monday, he said that they have Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy in their ranks who could spend Rs 1,000 crore for Congress in the next general elections.

He made a mention of social media talk where views are being expressed that TRS in Telangana and BJP at Centre were only capable of money politics in elections.

"If money is the only criteria to win polls, Congress has many leaders who are capable of spending money in elections," Jagga Reddy said, adding that the appointment of new TPCC chief, the Congress would come up with the new strategies including financial aspects to win the upcoming polls.

Reddy said that TRS after the formation of the new State had changed the way elections were fought. "TRS only strategy is to win by exercising money power. Even the BJP that makes tall claims about ideologies spent huge money during the recent GHMC polls. Congress which always fought on issues and ideologies was pushed back due to huge spending that led to its defeats," Reddy opined.
