The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Charminar Zonal Commissioner, Nama Samrat Ashok held a review meeting with officers from the Strategic Nala Development Program (SNDP), Projects, Engineering, Town Planning and Irrigation departments at his office in Hafez Baba Nagar on Thursday
Hafez Baba Nagar: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Charminar Zonal Commissioner, Nama Samrat Ashok held a review meeting with officers from the Strategic Nala Development Program (SNDP), Projects, Engineering, Town Planning and Irrigation departments at his office in Hafez Baba Nagar on Thursday.
The meeting focused on addressing issues of rivers, drainage and rainwater. Ashok said that special measures have been taken up to prevent problems due to rains in the future. "The engineering department is conducting inspections and taking steps to resolve issues in areas which were inundated during the recent heavy rains.
Circle Executive Engineers (EE) have already been directed to submit a report regarding the same by January 12. The report will be presented at a high-level meeting soon. Widening of canals, development and construction work will be undertaken to prevent flooding of rainwater in affected areas," he added.
Deputy commissioners Rajinikanth Reddy, K Alivelu Mangatayaru, S N Surya Kumar, D Pradeep Kumar, SNDP CEO Dr Vasantha, Projects Superintendent Engineer Dattupant, SE Narsing Rao, EE Srinivas, Town Planning Deputy City Planner B Venkanna, EEs Kishtappa Kiran, Ramulu, Narender Goud, Irrigation Department EE Dr Renuka, GM Ram Mohan, DEs and AEs were present in the meeting.
