SCR to run special trains to clear festival rush

To cater festival rush, the South-Central Railway (SCR) to operate eight festival special trains between various destinations.

To cater festival rush, the South-Central Railway (SCR) to operate eight festival special trains between various destinations. All these special trains will be fully reserved services.

According to the press release, six of these special trains will be run on a daily basis and these include Hyderabad to Aurangabad (from December 31 to January 19) departing Hyderabad at 10.45 pm, Aurangabad to Hyderabad (January 1 to 20) with departure from Aurangabad at 4.15 pm, Kacheguda to Mysore (from December 31 to January 19) departing Kacheguda at 7.05 pm, Mysore to Kacheguda (January 1 to 20) leaving Mysore at 3.15 pm, Hyderabad to Tambaram (December 31 to January 19) departing Hyderabad at 6 pm and Tambaram to Hyderabad (January 1 to 20) with departure from Tambaram at 5 pm, the SCR said in a press release issued here.

All the trains will be run according to the COVID-19 protocol and the officials have been instructed to make adequate arrangements. They were also advised to the Railway Protection Force (PRF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) to maintain a strict vigil and monitor passenger movements and ensure COVId-19 precautions.
