A woman stabbed inside a TSRTC bus by another passenger after a tiff over the seat.
A woman stabbed inside a TSRTC bus by another passenger after a tiff over the seat. The incident which occurred on Sunday created panic among the passengers.
According to the police, Anuradha (40) who works in a garment store from West Marredpally boarded the bus at AG's office at Chandrayangutta. Anuradha noticed the culprit occupying a seat reserved for women. An argument broke out between the two and the culprit used foul language at the woman.
Fumed over his behaviour, Anuradha slapped him and the accused took out a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed her. The woman suffered an 8-inch deep cut and was rushed to Osmania General Hospital. Her condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, the accused got down the bus at Begum Bazar and fled. The Begum Bazar police registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
