Yakutpura : The Rein Bazar division which is considered as one of the strongholds of the AIMIM will be witnessing a tough fight amongst the influential young candidates amongst several others. While Abdul Wasay, an MBA graduate, replaced the incumbent as the candidate for MIM, Abdul Rahman who is fighting as an independent is known for taking lead in resolving civic issues with the officials.

The two faces which already gathered media attention have filed their nominations and have become talk of the town on social media, particularly in the Yakutpura Assembly constituency.

Abdul Wasay, the son of the party senior leader Abdul Waseem, has been given ticket for Rein Bazar division (ward-31) by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the place of the Corporator, Mir Wajid Ali Khan, in this Unreserved division. This candidate is one of the youngest from the AIMIM party, who is contesting for GHMC polls-2020 and is an active member of the party.

According to party men, the party has been encouraging the young talents. The youngest corporator Fahad Bin Abdat from Uppuguda division, son of senior party leader and ex-corporator Samad Bin Abdat), is once again in the fray from the same division. This division with a total 42,718 voters has been a winning seat for AIMIM since 2009. Abdul Wasay said, "Being a youngster I want to remain available to people and resolve public grievances and to be people's man. I shall bring rapid development to Rein Bazar."

Abdul Rahman, an RTI activist, was able to grab eyes for past few years for his social work and also for his services during pandemic and recent floods. This 30-year-old has been seriously engaged in social work for over four years in several areas such as Rein Bazar, Kurmaguda, Talabkatta, Yakutpura. "Several developmental projects are being taken up after I pursued the matter with authorities," he claimed. "Being a social worker, I was a people's man, if elected I can do more for the citizens of Rein Bazar," he vowed.

However, there are several others, contesting either on a party ticket or going it all alone in different divisions in polls, but they have not gathered the same level of media attention as the aforementioned young leaders .

From Rein Bazar division, as on Friday, the total number of nominations filed was 10. Candidates include Mohammed Ali from Congress, Advocate Mohammed Javed from TRS, Eshwar from BJP.
