Hyderabad: N V Subhash, BJP official State spokesperson, on Tuesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's government diverted huge Central funds.

He said that this BJP charge against the government has been vindicated with the ultimatum of sarpanches to return the Central funds, meant for development of villages, within a week.

"The KCR government has diverted funds sanctioned for various Centrally- sponsored welfare schemes, including the development of villages". The CM and his team always indulged in false and malicious propaganda that the Modi government has not released funds for welfare schemes, Subhash stated. Accusing the government of pushing the State into a deep debt trap due to its inefficient financial management, Subhash said it also left sarpanches in debt by not releasing Central funds meant for the development of rural areas.

The BJP leader termed the "KCR government as a diversion government". He alleged that the government has diverted funds to run his popular schemes, like Dalit Bandhu. He alleged that the government diverted Central funds fraudulently using the "digital Key" after they were deposited directly in the bank accounts of gram panchayats.

He said the State's financial situation was very bad. Fed up with the functioning of the government sarpanches had threatened to resort to agitation if it failed to return stalled Central funds within a week.

On KCR assertion that the Dalit Bandhu scheme and uninterrupted power supply to farmers would be implemented across the country if his party (BRS) was voted to power, Subhash ridiculed it. He said KCR would ensure "diversion tactics" to transfer money in the name of these schemes to fill his coffers in Telangana.
